Modern Metal (6505 inspired) - 877-THRASH-NOW
Description:
This is the result of tinkering with my Katana MKII 100w 2x12 to get a solid metal tone. I loved the 6505 emulator on my Peavy VYPR and wanted to emulate that. This can probably be done with fewer EQs in the chain, but I'm quite happy with the end tone. The booster knob controls the low end on the mid boost (IMO the key to good distortion on the Katana), so less for a tighter time and more for a fat/beefy tone. The other effect channels and knobs aren't configured - this was just to get a solid distortion I was happy with. You might need to cut the bass or high end somewhere depending on your guitar/room setup.
