This community farm prjoect is an excellent initiative because the stakeholders are actually working the farm. In my opinion the just pay money model of community supported agriculture does little to provide sustainability for the financial-only members, and in the event of food shortages is bound to cause division between the financial members and the working members. I think the fact that this prjoect is on a rented field is good because it avoids mistrust between landowning and landless participants. It would be great if you could secure the field and put it into a community land trust , then use it as a nucleus to spread this system of CSA throughout the area. Best wishes for the future.
