Help with Zoom G21Nu

Good day.
May I ask for your help with my G21Nu
I am currently unable to switch between patches (ie, a1 to a2)
When I turn on the device, it allows me to choose which patch I will use, but when I choose to change the settings of the effect type, it no longer allows me to select a different patch to play, it becomes stuck on the same patch even if it is in play mode.
