B3 xml file format anyone?

Post by mfthoad » Sun Dec 11, 2016 4:01 pm

I've recently bought a B3, which shows enormous promise but when I downloaded the Edit & Share software, I found it simply doesn’t work on my Mac (running Mac OS X 10.10.5). It launches, and apparently recognises that my B3 is connected to it, but doesn't even get as far as listing the patches, let alone allowing me to edit anything. So...

Having downloaded a couple of patches from here, I've established that the file format is pretty simple xml, but I can't work out which parameter relates to which setting on the unit, because it includes Modules 0-4, whereas the B3 itself just has the three modules. Having been a bit of a techie (web developer), I daresay if I bent my brain over it long enough I could figure it out, but to save me time, does anyone know exactly how these files work? If so, I could at least make use of patches from here, albeit in a clumsy, manual sort of way.

Please ignore this question and consider the thread closed! I've since, on the offchance, downloaded Edit & Share again and installed it and... it works perfectly! So even if I do still want to know about that file format I can work it out for myself easily enough now.
