G major not recognizing changes

Hello,
New to forums and new to Realmajor. Ok so I have everything up on my comp, midi to usb cable, and G major hooked up. I have both midi in ans out set to usb 2.0 midi in the Realmajor console. I import a patch that I saved from your site, highlight it in patch list, and hit change. I see my midi in light flashing on my G major but nothing changes. I press the store button on my G major and turn dial to an empty preset, hit change in Realmajor and it reverts back to the first G major patch I started on. Help! what am I missing here? This editor seems so cool and I am getting communication between the 2 but its not making changes on my G major. Thanks in advance.

Mike

Hello Mike
- Make shure "send tuner" is off on the G-Major.
- In the G-major set "user banks on midi" (don't remeber exactly what it's called in the menu but I think you will understand when you see it.
- You must have a patch saved i position 1 in the user banks.

Hope any of these things help, let me know otherwise.

Haax,
Still no luck here. I have:

Patches saved in both user 1 and 2.
Midi channel- I have tried both 1 and omni
Midi program changes is set to ON
Program bank set to User
SysEx ID set to 0 (not sure if this matters)
Send tuner is off
Mod master set to Mod (not sure about this either but changed it to see)
turned midi clock both on and off.

When I hit change in Realmajor, it will switch between my 2 presets but hitting send doesnt send the patches I have imported to my Gmajor. I see activity light flashing but nothing changes. Am I missing something or is there something I need to be pressing on my Gmajor while sending? I restored factory presets too just in case I had something screwy but no luck so far. Thanks for responding.

Mike

OK, maybe it's a Windows 7 problem then.

I will see if I can grab my G-major from my friends house this week and do some testing on Win 7.

I tried running in compatabilty mode and it gives me the error "cant find image from file 'images/vippon.png file does not exist. Have you had any luck with Win 7? Thanks again.

Finally got my G-major home and RealMajor works lika a charm on Win 7.

Do you have firmware 1.27 on your G-Major, that is a must.

Hello and thanks.

Yes I am running 1.27 firmware. Still no luck. I see the midi in flashing on my G major screen when I hit send but doesnt change my G major. Is there possibly something else I have on or locked? Thanks again.

I do have a question. I notice that under midi in and midi out, both devices say USB 2.0 midi - 0
Could this be the issue?

Noticed one other thing. In the small window that opens prior to real major opening, I get a message that reads:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "Real_Major.py", line 816, in OnSave
UnboundLocalError: local variable 'path' referenced before assignment

Get this message twice.

The error message do appear when you cancel the save dialog, small program error from me I think, should not affect the rest of the program.

Do you have other midi,s to choose from in the midi in/out lists?
