Marky PV 5150 2 - Van Halen

Description:

Close to the marky Mark patch but top end has tube sparkle added so when striking string harder on hi strings it gives a slight dynamic tube click for definition. Eq is mildly different but sometimes it makes a big difference. I used a Les Paul two humbucker in bridge pickup. It has slight chorus for a stereo spread and it gives more definition to the sound. The pedal controls volume going before the whole setup and acts like the volume knob on the guitar. Back off the volume to get great clear tones for neck pickup or in between pickups. The RP360 is one of the best Amp Simulators I have used. The factory presets are tired IMzo. But dialing in gain and drive is about the hardest thing. O.center you have that and a proper cabinet and master Eq, the rest is easy. To hear this patch the way it was intended, run it thru a mixer and expand the bass at 100Hz and treble at 10k. It will LINE up with a recording with same expansion. If not using a mixer you may need to pump up bass, boost hi on the amp and back down mids with a mild scoop. It was made with Mixer mode output. Hoping you guitar lovers will make some of your own versions of patches and upload do we can turn this site into the best guitar forum out there. What a great unit, listen to the 5150.

This is the best metal amp in the Rp360. It is really thick without getting mushy and maintains a metal crunch. Nice Marky Mark. Thanx.
