Marky PV5150 - Marky Mark

Description:

A stereo Lead Solo and rhythm patch that has the sound of Van Halen II. There is chorus on to give a bit of wide stereo but it is subtle in depth. The Amp is flat eq leaving a lot of flexible amp controls. The master eq is touchy so using amp knobs will deliver more punch since the sound is dialed into a fat punchy mix. The Bass notes are heavy and thick. Another super good SIM of the 5150 amp. Preferred the metal cab for this patch. I had the PV Triple x amp while dialing in this patch. The 5150 is almost the exact same specs as the Triple x amp. It was made on a modern Tele with bridge humbucker. The output if the RP360 was set to Mixer output. Into a mixer with hi and lows expanded, mids flat. I am impressed with the sound of this amp and cab. Keep this patch and make variations of it with phasers and flangers to really get Van Halen etc etc. This is a great classic rock sound for many bands such as whitesnake or Deep Purple to Dimebag to Led Sep etc etc. The planner is nice on this one. The volume pedal will draw back gain in a natural way and when it's down it really sounds great when using the neck pickup or middle position on a Stratocaster. Nice string definition with gain at half. Best of the plexi classic rock amps IMO.
